Examinees may bring a friend to wait in the waiting room. This is often a comfort to examinees.

Examinations commonly last 1-3 hours. The examination consists of talking in a question and answer fashion. No written or performance tests are commonly done. Casual dress is recommended.

Evaluations can be done at any location, including home, hospital, attorney’s office, jail, or hotel conference room.
